Oregon House District 35

House District 35 encompasses Tigard, King City, Metzger, part of southwest Portland, part of Beaverton and surrounding areas of unincorporated Washington County.  HD 35 has a strong commitment to education and some of the top-rated public schools in the state.  The Sylvania Campus of Portland Community College is in HD 35 and serves nearly 27,000 students per year. Tigard is named after Wilson Tigard who arrived with his family from Arkansas in 1852 and settled in the area east of Bull Mountain.   

Representative Doherty has lived in Tigard for more than 20 years.
